Searching for happiness is only a myth to those that cannot find it. For those of us that have it we do not consider it a myth or a secret. It is real and is a state of being. It comes from within us and is found through our choices. It comes from being right with your spirit.

We can choose to be happy and make the best of things or we can choose to let the world bring us down in misery. Life is all about choices.

Even in the worst of all tragedies there is something good. We can choose to find the good or grieve because of the tragedy. However this does not mean that we cannot feel sad or compassionate when tragedy strikes, it means that we make the most of the situation, find the good and move on. We can be thankful for the good. A thankful heart is a happy heart.

Like love happiness cannot be bought. No matter how much money you have it will not make you happy. Money can make your life easier but not happier. Many millionaires are the most, unhappy people you will ever meet. They are addicted to drugs or alcohol and are never satisfied. Many neglected and lost their families to make their fortunes. So once they finally get the money they thought would make them happy they are lonely and unhappy.

The easiest way to find happiness is to love everyone as the Bible commands. With this comes forgiveness to those that hurt us or have angered us. That also means forgiving yourself if you are not happy with decisions that you made in life. When you forgive the person it takes away the pain and pent up anger and keeps your spirit healthy. Also when you love others, they love you in return. Being loved by others is one of the riches sources of happiness there is. There is no greater happiness that I can think of.

With this is one of the hardest things for most people in the world to do today. That is to love themselves but not in a conceited way. How can we expect others to love us if we cannot love ourselves? And if we don't love ourselves it is very hard to find happiness. To be happy we must be content and happy with who and what we are. Peace and happiness truly comes from within ourselves. So the first step in finding happiness is to find ourselves and be our true self. Then for ultimate happiness love all others.

Now that you know the secret about happiness, be happy. God loves you and so do I.
