Resisting tempting foods

Not an easy thing to do. What I know from past experiences that it takes very strong will power and even this does not always work. So i have found a solution for myself which may work for other people as well. I am a big chocolate lover and I can not give it up for one day. Our bodies naturally crave sugar and thats OK as long as we are careful with it. I also like pizza, burgers, mayonnaise,french fries and a lot of other "forbidden" foods every once in a while.


So I just squeeze them in my daily calorie limits. I count my calories and I try not to exceed my limits. I watch my portions and I have become very good at it. With time it just becomes a habit. I even stopped drinking so I can save these calories for foods I really love. And I don't waste them. I only eat things that are a 10 for me ( the ones that I enjoy the most).
It seems to work, and also seems like, when I know they are not forbidden foods anymore I don't think about them all the time.
When I start eating ( a brownie for example) I just sit down and think only about eating my brownie, completely ignoring everything else at this moment. That way I can fully enjoy it and get the most pleasure out of it. Without feeling guilty or thinking what it would do to me. And it works!
