Is there truly a "Man of Our Dreams" out there waiting for us or is it just a dream that we have had since childhood? Do we imagine of a knight in shinning armor charging up to us on a white stead, a man willing to give up a kingdom for our love? Do we dream of being loved and cherished forever? I know that most women do believe in all of these things. I know for a fact that there is a "Man of Our Dreams" for everyone woman. I do know however that it takes more than the armor,a white stead and love to make a "Man of Our Dreams."

I positively believe and know that there is a "Man of Our Dreams" out there for each and every woman and we should seek him out. We do need to remember that the "Man of Our Dreams" is only human which is not to say that he couldn't or wouldn't charge up to us on a white stead (or a red sports car). Perhaps we need to look for more than a bigger than life hero, we need to look for a soul mate.

We were all brought up on the fairy tale of a Prince Charming comming to our rescue and loving us forever but the truth is that Prince Charming's don't always have to be exaclty like the fairy tales. A "Man of Our Dreams" can be a construction worker, a doctor, a NHL star, he shouldn't be a man from a fairy tale but a a real man who can laugh, cry and dream side by side with you.

I believe any man can be a hero but few can truly be a "Man of Our Dreams "because to be a that man he needs to be much more than a knight on a white stead killing the dragon. The "Man of My Dreams" needs to be real. He needs to be true to himself, true to his feelings and true to his love for me. A true "Man of My Dreams" is not just the knight in shinning amour of my dreams but a man of flesh and blood who can share and will share his hopes and dreams with me as I share mine with him.

My man needs to be able to reach out to me to help him slay the dragons that stalk us both and he needs to share his feelings (even when I may not want to know them). My man must be and is willing to allow me to charge in and save him when saving is needed.

My man works outside of the home and at home, he never runs from the dirty diaper, the baby needing held during the night or the dirty dishes. My man finds me beautiful even when my eyes are puffy from crying or sick with the flu. My "Man of My Dreams" is my husband.
