Baby of Mine
The birth of my daughter
was such a glorious day.
I never thought the Lord
would take her away.
She suffered from the time
she entered this world.
She was mama's precious angel
and daddy's baby girl.
For five short months
she managed to hang on.
But before we knew it
our baby girl was gone.
I took her in my arms
and rocked her one last time
I sang her favorite lullaby,
"Baby of Mine".
She wore a bonnet on her head,
and she wore a plain white dress.
She looked just like an angle
that had been laid to rest.
I kissed her on the head
and I started to cry
I couldn't believe
this would be our last goodbye.

a gasping, choking thing, and then I

As sure as you are reading this, there IS life after death!
