When to change tires? The first thing to look at is tread depth, the depth should be checked all the way across the tire in several spots and you can use a tread depth Gage and you should still have more than 3/32 of an inch. The next thing is your tires should not be over 3 years old or the rubber can dry out and cause failure due to separations. look for any cuts or chunks out of the tires especially in the sides of the tires. If a tire has to be repaired insist on getting a patch and not a plug. If you drove on a flat tire you may have damaged the side walls and weakened them so have them checked and replace as needed. If you have specific questions whether your tires are in need of replacement then I suggest you go to the tire dealer or ask your service place where you get your car serviced. Don't forget to keep the air pressures to specification to keep your tires healthy and your gas mileage up.
