I dream of times... of times long gone
I dream of my childhood and that playful song
I wonder now, what I wondered then
Did I ever think I'd grow past ten
the snow would come
the snow would go
the rain would stay
that was for sure
summer was forever
that was just fine...hoping and praying
I'd be able to stay up past nine
we would build the bonfire as high as we could
with old prams and settees
and plenty of wood
Now Christmas was here
excitement no end
with joy and laugher and plenty of friends
this is my memory, this is just one
one of the memories of times long gone
