How to do domestic chores faster

No one seems to enjoy doing domestic chores and getting them done faster is something that everyone aspires to. There are a million products out there designed to cut out chores and increase the speed at which they are done. These products are ratehr expensive and outside of some people's budgets. What if you don't have these products around the house? How do you get those chores done faster?

First pick a specific area as big or as small as you'd like. I start with the kitchen since it is the first place I go in the morning. Take a minute to fill the coffee pot. Leave the water on and fill the sink for dishes. Now make sure to put all of the dishes into the water, while the water cools down enough for you to put your hands in you can clean other areas of your kitchen.

Now gather the laundry and start a load. The dish water should be right by now. Wash the dishes. When you cook wiping up spills as you go will save you a lot of time and effort later. While the dishes dry, hang out your clothes. When you clean the dishes off the table wipe it down as you go. Wiping the table down immediately after removing the dishes from it will help to cut down on the amount of time spent dusting it later.

Dust with a wet wash cloth, wiping your dust collecting collectables as you go. When you brush your teeth in the morning take a minute to wipe down your countertop. When you finish with your shower wipe down the mirror and edge of the shower, this will keep those annoying spots from showing up on your mirror. It only takes a minute and can save a considerable amount of time. Wiping down the bathtub prior to getting into it and as soon as you get out of it can save hours of scrubbing rings from around the tub.

Fold your laundry and put it away as soon as you bring it in. Place garbage cans in the rooms you use them most. When you fill one up take it out then and replace the bag. Try and put multiple bags in so that when you pull one out there is another one there all ready to go.

Also make sure that your vacuum bag is not overly full, an overly full bag will put dust back in the air. (Good idea to vacuum before you dust just in case.) Keep a dust buster charged and handy. Use the dust buster to get up those little things that fall on the floor.

If you have a bad memory and a major cleaning is coming due you can do what I did as a teenager. Make a list and mark everything off as it is done. This will help to keep you focused.

When cooking take the time to wash the utensils as you go. Make sure all the dishes are done when you finish the meal. Don't leave them in the sink. Wipe down the stove and counter top when you finish cooking.
