How to make the most of your shampoo and conditioner

of Water and Eat Healthy Foods:
If this is not part of a daily regimen, it should be. Healthy hair, like other parts of the body requires plenty of water and healthy food. Remember quality going in is quality coming out. Water does an excellent job hydrating the skin and keeping the hair at peak condition. Healthy diet serves the same purpose.

Never brush hair harshly when wet! It is highly important that when combing or brushing as far too many do, not to do something so damaging to the hair. Hair is brittle. If stretched as in frequent wet brushings, all the hair will receive is frizzle hair and split-ends. Use a high-quality rubberized salon quality wet wide-tooth comb to pull the tangles gently. This will reduce stress on the hair as well as adding to the shampoo and conditioner use.

Never twist the hair into a towel. Always squeeze hair by scrunching the towel into the hair gently until the hair is not sopping wet. Let air-dry or use a hairdryer on the lowest setting. If possible, use the new hairdryers with the cool settings to prevent damage from the heat of hairdryers.

Additional ideas, information, and advice:
The most expensive hair products on the market will not work unless one implements the outlines above to keep hair clean, fresh, healthy, hydrated, and cared for while shampooing hair and conditioning. It is a long process but nobody ever said beauty was easy. While waiting on the hair to reach the full potential of beauty, salons carry specific products to add shine to the hair in the formula of a liquid added after conditioning or in a spray to add after styling. My personal preference is the after styling spray. The shine spray makes hair appear healthier than it is while waiting for growth and new shampoo and conditioning regimens to begin showing a difference. The healthier hair becomes the most volume, shine, and easier it will be to deal with on a daily basis with extremely small amounts of hair styling products to hold hair into place.
