is easiest to maintain.
4: Purchase High-Quality Hair Products:
Hair products are the #1 make or break of hair. Remember, cheap stuff in, brings cheap stuff out. Quality products in, brings quality looks out. If price is a problem, search around various salons asking about the pricing of the products recommended by your personal hairdresser to make locks, color, or cut remain at its best for the longest of time. Remember that the longer one can go between salon visit can add in savings while still having the ability to sport that beautiful hairstyle. The number one piece of advice regarding a specific hair shampoo is Prell. The department store brand Prell stripes everything from color to curls so unless you have straight oily hair without color, stay as far away from Prell as possible. It is almost a relaxer by itself. The best time and person to use Prell is young teenagers and teenagers with high-oil content from puberty. Otherwise, steer clear from Prell. This tip came from my hairdresser.
5: Correctly Shampoo, Condition, and Seal Hair:
The best way to shampoo, conditioner, and seal hair is not to wash it every single day. This strips ones hair of color, conditioning, and it causes split ends terribly. Wash every other day. If oily hair is a problem, invest in a high-quality salon dry hair shampoo.
When shampooing hair, use tepid water. Be gentle with hair when scrubbing it with shampoo. Harsh scrubbing can cause dead-ends and help lose any curl or color chemical treatment. Cool the water a tad more for the conditioner treatment. Allow the conditioner to sit on hair for approximately 10, 15, to 20 minutes at least twice a week using a hot towel to cover the head or a shower cap wrapped in a hot towel to allow the conditioner to permeate into the hair follicles and scalp. It helps to use a wide, salon-style comb to come out hair as it is soaking in deep conditioning. Otherwise, on regular conditioning days, allow the conditioner to remain for 4 to 10 minutes. Once it is time to rinse out the conditioner treatment, always begin with tepid water and do a final rinse in cold water. The final cold-water use is to seal the follicles thus preventing split ends, which of course sends one back to the hairdresser to trim them out.
Finally, at least once to twice a month, apply a high-quality salon brand of sealant to the hair to keep natural and chemical colors and curls in the hair. Sealants add that extra layer of protection to the hair and the scalp.
