Celebrities live in world that is quite unlike our own. It is a world with too many beautiful people, too many egos and too much vanity, and completely devoid of any proper perspective. Would any real person marry and divorce their significant other within the span of a few weeks? Of course not. But celebrities are not real people.
Not even close.
Celebs seem to gallop in an alternate universe, where everything seems to be zooming by, be it their tumultuous career or the overweight paparazzo tailing them from his beat-up old car. Nothing moves in slow-motion, everything is happening at the snap of a finger, and it's understandable that in such an environment, where success and failure can simultaneously be tip-toeing just around opposite corners, celebs take the next speediest exit route when it comes to relationships and marriage without any semblance of a road map guiding them along the way.
Most people regard divorce as a weighty issue, one that should be examined thoroughly before taking any action. Celebs, on the other hand, see divorce as an easy escape. They are used to taking the easy way and having the easy lifestyle. As celebs, they're used to easy. But working through a marriage and understanding its complexities and accepting its difficulties is anything but easy. Hence, the easy way out.
Usually, celebrity couplings are of the norm, and in many cases, it can spell disaster. After all, celebs aren't notorious for their super-sized egos for nothing. And when two super-sized egos collide, something, or rather, someone, has to budge, but in what is often the case, a bitter breakup is what ensues.
Lastly, celebs always have extremely fine prospects lying in wait just beyond the other side of the door. When the marriage door closes and the door to divorce opens, a very attractive, sexy, and charming member of the opposite sex will be standing right in line, waiting to cross that threshold.
Celebs divorces are so common because they are entrenched in a cult where divorce is the order of choice in the convenient drive-through of celebrity marriage. It is always on the menu, and more than anything, it is the cheapest, fastest, and easiest to swallow. For the sake of the rest of us, lets hope they don't plan on franchising.
