One thing I believe everyone would agree with is that it is hard to keep your face clean and clear as you go through life. Many people may also agree that for most of them it starts in their teenage years as distinct changes occur in their bodies, new feeling about the world and people enter in their minds, and basically the experiences and responsibilities of a teenager can add up to cause them to stress, which in many people leads to acne. Acne is a starting point for many people and the first time they see their face filled with pimples and dark spots, this in addition causes even more stress and therefore more acne. Acne is not the only reason though but it is a very common one. Here are some tips to help you fight the frustration and find out exactly how you can help yourself achieve the clear complexion you've always wanted:
1) One thing to remember on your quest towards a clear complexion is to find ways to reduce the amount of stress (that also means not freaking out when a pimple pops on your face, that will just cause more pimples due to excessive oil production). Do some exercise or yoga, even a small walk everyday can make a great difference. Exercise helps you have a healthy heart, gives you energy to do work, and helps your body to function properly through the day.
2) Most people aggravate their skin condition by using the wrong kinds of skin-care products. Its important to know what your skin type is and buy your make-up and skin care products in accordance. When selecting make-up, regardless of what kind of product to buy, ensure it is oil-free so that you have natural looking skin when you apply the make-up, not shiny greasy skin, and buy skin care products that moisturize your skin, not make it streaky and oily. Also remember, if you have pimples don't pick them, that just causes more of them and can leave scars on your skin.
3) The most obvious thing that everyone can do if one can't do anything else is have good nutrition and that does not mean to take chocolate out of your diet. Most people, like me, are chocoholics and can't resist the temptation, but keep your healthy food intake above your junk food intake. In addition to eating healthy foods, you can also get essential vitamins and minerals out of them to help keep your bones and muscles healthy and help to build immunity against infection. However, also keep this in mind that if you notice that there are some foods that your skin doesn't react very well to, try as much to avoid them or eat them in small amounts.
4) Lastly drink plenty of water and keep yourselves hydrated. You'll be surprised on a working day how many people feel tired and look dry and pale simply because they haven't been drinking water. So drink lots of water and feel quenched and hydrated and great.
Remember, clearing your complexion is not an overnight process. It will take time and you'll simply have to keep that in mind. Moreover, keep in mind that it may take a bit longer perhaps than what you thought to achieve clear skin, but don't lose heart; lead a healthy life. Do at least as much as is in your hands. For the rest, visit a doctor once in a while and get useful information about other useful methods you can employ to achieve clear skin.
