Single men and women across the world are constantly sending "signals" about "interest levels" in the opposite sex...
In my dating experience, I have found the non-verbal cues are a much stronger "signal" than the talking and chattering...
Here are 4 simple flirtations that I use that send a strong and simple "let's do this again signal"....
#1 - Smile. I am a pretty easy going guy so it's not too difficult to induce a smile out of me. However, a smile is a non-verbal cue that is effective in showing your date that you are intrigued and curious. Our physical reactions to statements and jokes can show anyone "what's going on in that head of yours".... Smile often shows my date that hey, "I like what I see"...
#2 - Eye contact. If I'm really interested in you, I'm going to keep my mouth shut and listen to every word that comes out of my dates mouth. Then, I'm going to "stare" and let my date know that I am focused on her and that what she says is important to me. Maintaining simple eye contact shows a strong interest level.
#3 - A slight touch. Now, I don't promote a boisterous hand grab or a hurry and lean over and put arm around you type of touch. A small, subtle touch is usually much more insightful. For example, maybe a touch on the elbow when pointing a direction of where to go. Or, "accidentally" bumping into your date while walking somewhere. These are playful, outward flirtations that say.... "hey, I'm into you..."
#4 - A simple hug. When the date is over, the gentleman thing to do is leave with a simple hug. I like this the best. If I just had a great date with someone, I don't want to get caught up in the flirt festival of sexual desire. I think a simple hug shows respect and courtesy. It leaves the door open for future contact and maybe bigger and better things.
Mutual respect and common courtesy are important. On first dates especially, it's crucial to set an atmosphere of warmth and fun. If I'm not too interested, it'll show throughout the course of the date. If I'm using the 4 techniques above, hey, we oughta hang out again soon!
