Most people when they think steakhouse they automatically think steak. Not all of use are steak lovers so do they serve other things besides steak? Most places do serve a wide variety of meals. Doing so makes business better because they can serve the whole family and not just the part of the family that eats steak. But what else do they serve you ask? Many things such as chicken, seafood, salads, soups and pastas.

Pasta
Many steakhouse sever wonderful flavorful pasta's. Many places you go to will have chicken, vegetable and seafood pasta dishes. Many places also have special house dishes that are their signature pasta dish. If you don't see the perfect pasta dish on the menu ask if you can create your own. Most places with allow you and even help you to do so. Who knows you may create something that you see later on the menu.

Salads
I know that I personally love of nice fresh crisp salad. Steakhouses always serve large dinner salads. Most have salads such as a chef salad, chicken salad, tuna salad and even a steak salad for the steak lover. What I have found to be quite interesting is many steakhouses have new and different dressings and not just your average ranch and italian. Ask for your dressing on the side and choose a few to try. Make sure to ask for the special house dressing too.

Soups
Lately I have noticed that steakhouses more and more are serving a yummy baked potato soup. Not to say that is the only soup they serve because usually it is not. Many soups you find in a steakhouse are hearty soups with lots of flavor and very filling. Not only do they serve soups but chili too! Mmmm a big bowl of hearty chili with cheese! Can't beat that!

Seafood
I love seafood and can happily go into a steakhouse and order a seafood meal because more steakhouses serve it. Not only that but the portions and flavors of the seafood are to die for. Smoked salmon, grill whitefish or shrimp skewers. Not to mention all the fried options you have in a good steakhouse.

Chicken
Last but surely not least is the chicken option. There are so many ways to serve chicken and most steakhouses have lots of options. Options such as bar-b-que chicken, grilled chicken, fried chicken, chicken skewers and much, much more.

So as you can see many steakhouses offer a very wide variety of food, sidedishes and meals to please almost anyone. If you don't see it on the menu make sure to ask about it! Even if they don't have it as a meal option more than likely they will make it for you. Enjoy a good steak if that is what you like but don't shy away from a great place to eat just because of the name contains the word steak and you don't eat steak. Have fun trying new dishes and spending time with loved ones!
