I thought I saw you yesterday
I thought I saw a tear
I thought I saw you sitting there
Alone down by the pier
I thought I saw you watching the ships
One by one they were sailing by
I thought I saw you holding back trying not to cry
I thought I saw you dip your hand down in the murky blue
I was standing there watching you
But you did not have a clue
I thought I saw the breeze blow through your silky hair
You didn't even move
You didn't seem to care
You let the air hit your cheeks
Rosy as they grew
You let the tears stream down your face
As I thought I saw them wet your lace
I thought I saw you look to the sky
As the gray clouds came streaming by
I thought I saw a raindrop fall
Falling like your tear
I thought I saw you walk away
But you never really left
Your soul will always be there
In the ocean's depth
And I'll always remember that day
I thought I saw you sitting there
Alone down by the pier

She's Gone, But Not Forgotten
She's gone but not forgotten, and I'm at home here, all alone.
It used to be the place we shared,

"Emptiness"
Lying here waiting
Thoughts churning in my head
Painstakingly turning
While I am tangled in my bed
Defeat pours over
Corner of the loveseat while the sun sets behind closed blinds
Cigarette burns low
The neighbors phone rings off the hook

My Own Arms
Here inside four walls
resting in my chair
I turn to say I love you
knowing you're not there.
I took for granted
They flow in pairs
they walk in light
I sit alone
in a cold, dark night
I call out
but my cries lack sound
I have no voice
no words
