Do the Ten Commandments matter?

Since every church has their own interpretation of Gods Word this question could take hours to explain. However, a good question deserves a good answer. First off, does every church really have their own interpretation of Gods Word? Not really, they merely have their own by-laws or doctrine to follow. These doctrines/by-laws come from not their interpretation but rather from their choice of belief.

Churches have a peculiar way of seeing things and excuses for the way they see them but yet have very little if any evidence of why they believe the way they do, and the poor congregation is so meek to their pastor they automatically believe him/her without study. But yet even the non-Christians study certain items within the Word. To say that one commandment is keepable but yet another is not, fairly well does away with the Ten Commandments they have on their walls. They look at the Ten but say only a few apply. Everyone can agree that we should not kill unresourcefully and that we should honor our Father and Mother. We can all agree not to steal from each other and not wanting what our neighbors have. To commit adultery is even recognized as sin in an unbelievers world. We all know that lying about our neighbor will cause us to have to create another lie, therefore knowing not to lie. And taking the name of our Father in vain is just a complete abomination to our beliefs. But what about the other three commandments? You know the three, no other gods; no graven images and keeping the Sabbath. Those three seem to have no affect to many people these days. It is as if they have been abolished when in fact they are still very real.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me - Let's take for example Feng Shui, which is in short the art of placement so that your life will be more suitable to oneself. This would be a god because you are using nature as your resource for comfort instead of God.
Thou shalt not make unto the any graven image - This commandment in actuality is quite longer than given and rarely looked at in a full perspective. People are carrying emblems of crosses and fish and stars to show their faith and yet forget the word tells us our faith is shown by the way we live and we are to live in the footsteps of our Saviour. Should anyone search this commandment they would find the crosses, fish and stars or not allowed by God.
Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy - A well forgotten commandment and yet maybe the only one that truly sets Gods people apart from the world. He says that the keeping of the Sabbath is a perpetual covenant (perpetual meaning forever) between him and his people. This commandment has never been done away with and has never changed. Nowhere in Gods word can you prove it has been, but everywhere it can be proved to be observed. Nowhere can one show in Gods word the Ten Commandments have been shortened or done away with, but everywhere they can be shown to be observed.
I have had people to come at me with scriptures trying to prove their belief and yet they could never explain their reasoning and back their reasoning with the scripture they were trying to show. And yet always I could show them what I was telling them. In fact I invite anyone to show me in scripture where the Ten Commandments have been changed; to show me where that all ten of the commandments don't matter. Because according to God all ten do matter!
