A little girl is crying
But you cannot see her tears
She's afraid, so scared and lonely
She's been crying for years and years
A little girl is crying
But her tears you do not see
Just her anger and confusion
And frustration running free
A little girl is crying
But her tears you cannot dry
They're frozen deep within her
With the pain from years gone by
A little girl is crying
Please don't hurt her any more
She's all broken and so frail inside
And her heart is throbbing raw
A little girl is crying
Deep inside a woman's facade
And this is what she shows the world
But it's getting very hard
So when you see this little girl
Remember who she is
Just smile and hold her tightly
Keep her safe through all of this
