Simple Solution to Backing Up a File
Ever found yourself without your flash drive or floppy disk while needing to save or backup an important file? Do you use a public computer? Well, there is a simple solution.Email the file to yourself!
Emailing a file to yourself via using attached files will provide you with a copy and/or backup of your files so that you won't have to worry about losing them. I use this procedure very often myself. All that you would have to do is save the file to My Documents or Paint (if it is a large graphic or print screen). Next, I open my email account and type in the To box my email address. Then I attach the file(s) and click send. You will receive a copy of that file as an attachment. Also when naming your file, make the filename simple, direct, and easy to remember in case you need to do a search in your email box to locate the file. I am aware that there are some online storage sites available, but this simple solution fits me fine for backing up my files.
