Benefits of de-toxing for fitness and health

Get the YUCK out of your system! There are several ways to de-tox depending on how much time and money you want to invest in the process.

The benefits are endless if you have a clean body on the inside. All your organs are able to utilize the nutrition you ingest better and your body will radiate health.

Eat Organic. Help your body by eliminating pesticides, chemicals, and processed foods by relying only on a whole food organic diet. Sure organic foods cost more, but they also taste better and have more nutritious value, so eat less.

Juice. Invest in a juicer and do it at home. Include carrots, broccoli, apples, pears, reddish, cabbage, celery and more. Juice regularly, like every morning or night after dinner. This is the best and most simple way to keep your body in a steady de-tox mode. The juice made fresh helps to remove toxins from the body.

Sweat. Practice yoga or some form of physical activity that will make you sweat for at least 30 mins per day. Replenish with only water. Also, use a sauna or hot tub (no longer then 30 mins. per day) and again, replenish with only pure water.

Fast at least once or twice a month. Some cultures fast more regularly, but, again, if you are new, take baby steps so not to send your body in to shock.

Keep it pure. Drink enough water daily. If possible, eliminate any soda's or drinks full of sugar and corn syrup. Read the ingredients and keep it as pure as possible.

Minimize alcohol and drug intake. If you need prescription drugs, make sure there is not a more healthy alternative. Seek supplements if necessary, but only under the advice and supervision of your doctor.

Remind yourself- your body is your temple. Maintain the most optimal health by keeping the toxins out.
