Just as we don't need to have the same beliefs as everyone else to exist in the world we do not have to have to have the same beliefs as other church goers to attend church.

Church's are much more than just a place for containing organized religion. They can be extremely supportive environments providing hope and comfort for the people who attend them.

They are also meeting places that can allow people to socialize in a safe and friendly environment, often away from their difficult home-lives.

Some churches have fetes, money raising events and even hold discussion classes for those who wish to join in.

Services themselves can provide the audience with thought provoking discussions and can still provide an atheist with moral guidelines and spiritual help.

Most atheists do attend church without even considering their beliefs when they go to funerals, christenings and weddings, often during which they enjoy soaking up the spiritual atmosphere and admire the building itself for it's beauty and skilled craftsmanship.
