I'm not a professional who can provide the flowery descriptions but I'll talk about my personal experience.

When a guy has an affair, he will be extra attentive with you feeling dodgy about it. They say women have intuition and I totally agree to that. When you feel something isn't right about him, the chance is there is something wrong with him. Don't deny your feelings, ladies!

With Internet being widely used nowadays, when you see him getting on-line and browsing off some windows, then talking to you senselessly, the possibility is he is closing down some lovey dovey chatting windows with someone. If the moment he sends you off, or when you try to ring him back within one minute after he leaves your side, and the phone is engaged, you know that he's having an affair and trying to hide it from you when you're around.

Another experience I had concluded one other sign. When you're having an intimate moment and you can feel that he's not 100% in the motion (which usually he should have), you know he's trying to hold back so that he won't make any silly mistake like calling the wrong name(s).

Of course, nowadays it's not only about men anymore. Women will also have affairs when they're not guided properly. I do know people who have affairs and manage to hide them quite well.

In this case, women tend to have the softer side of dealing with their affairs. I know when women have affairs, they'll be doing things that the normal housewives would do, only with more effort and you sense the differences. They'll cook extra nice food for the husbands as they feel guilty. They'll clean the house to an extent that you might slip on the floor if you're not walking carefully. When you feel that your wife isn't the usual her, that might be a sign for some check-up actions!

P.S. Of course, points I made above can be applied on both situations (men in women, women in men).
