As an intern in journalism, I had written an article on Saddam's thick mustache, Laden's long beard, and Bush's wrinkled forehead. The time was different: then Bush was fighting against bin Laden; then Bush was planning to invade Iraq; and then Bush was thinking of turning Senior Bush's dream into concrete reality. Now he has done it. Saddam is no more present; Laden is already absent; and I wonder who the next victim will be. Within a short period of time Bush has come up with the victory. Still, I am trying to learn a b c d of journalism.
Sometimes I happen to think how it can be possible for a nation to do what its predecessors dream. My father has dreamed me to become a journalist for a long time; still, it has remained a Herculean task to fulfill his aim. As the consequence, Russia was defeated; yet, bin Laden rose to power in order to debunk American superiority: twin towers. There, America saw threat because its ego was challenged. It had to do something to maintain its superiority. What could they do except throwing bombs and testing new weapons upon the heads of poor Afghans? Though it was declared to be the war against terrorism, Bush proved greater terrorist by collapsing the whole nation which bin Laden could never have done.
Another quality Americans have inherited by birth is restlessness. They cannot live in peace for two reasons: inherent American belief on peace as anti-progressive, and peace as neck bone on the way to money. Besides, war keeps people busy: news sells; new programs
