Your sexuality is a very personal thing and if you are over the age of puberty and having to ask the question of whether you are gay or not then you are halfway to knowing the answer anyway.

The point I am making is that the question of our sexuality is to do with who we actually are as people and who we get close to on an emotional, and not just physical level. I really feel that you don't have to go through the sexual act to establish your gender because it isn't just about sex. I suppose that is why sometimes youngsters get confused about their sexuality if they get a crush on a favorite teacher for example or if they have been experimenting sexually with their peers.

The only way to find out for sure is to socialize with people from both groups. Keep an open mind and don't ignore your feelings. There is little point in rushing into something you are not sure about. I feel that you can't just go on sexual attraction alone as the brain can send out confusing messages so take the trouble to get to know people properly. If you find yourself getting close to someone on an emotional level first and then start fantasizing going further with them and they are the same sex as yourself then it means you probably have homosexual tendencies.

I think ultimately you will finally realize where your sexual preferences lie when you eventually fall in love with that special someone.
