Poetry: Futility

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that
Wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.
Exposing secret sworn on silent hill

You will have your heart broken probably more than
Once and it's harder every time. You'll also break hearts
Too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.

You'll fight with your best friend.
And promise to stay faithful to the end

But discover there is more than one skeleton

You'll blame someone for things an old love once did.
You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and
You'll eventually lose someone you love.

So take many pictures, laugh much, and love
Like you've never been hurt because every sixty
Seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness
You'll never get back.

Spoken promise
Neglected opportunity have sailed with the wind
Leaving you in a state of unhappy demise.

Pick up the pieces, with worn out tools, build again
Let the roof leak with droplets of rain,
Because the passing of time will ease your pain.

Your are beautiful beyond description,
God made you his image reflection
Sweetness indelible woven.

Live well, secure in the passing moments of your faith
Sleep when you die, live your dreams.
May the rainbow appear after the downpour of tears?
And the hand of a friend always be near you

Travel far in your mind; stay in close proximity of time
Refuse depressions low esteem, but anchor ashore
Your positive career

Run forward, pretense ends where reality start
Gold and silver will be yours for a price
Health and beauty will charm your heart

"Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid
That it will never begin."
