There are numerous things that one can do to promote women's rights. The most obvious is stand up for women everywhere. Demand women get equally treated as men. Demand that they get paid equally and according. This is the simplest and most obvious way to promote women's rights regardless of what gender you are. But there are many other ways to do so.

If you're a parent, teach your children to respect each other regardless of gender. Teaching them at an early age goes a long way towards promoting women's rights in the future. Basically put the thought in their heads about treating women the same way they would treat their own mothers, with respect. If you're a married man, you'd want people to give your wife equal rights. You'd want people to give your girlfriend equal rights and respect. You'd want people to give your daughters and your sisters equal rights and respect. We should promote women's rights at an early age.

We should advocate women's rights more. Such as harsher punishments on offenses against women such as rape, sexual battery, etc. There are very harsh punishments for offenses in other parts of the world such as Thailand and Vietnam. But because of a woman's possible occupation in this country, they can get treated like crap. Which something my mother doesn't like at all and she told me all sorts of stories on how it's still a serious offense regardless of the woman's stature and occupation back in Vietnam.

One of the biggest ways to promote women's rights is the 2008 elections. There are several issues on the table such as Iraq, unemployment, and so forth. Why not make promoting women's rights on an international level one of those topics on the table.
