I sneak into your room to look upon your face
the love I hold in my heart for you could never be replaced
Every prayer, every hug and kiss I recall with a smile
Every fit, every tear, every time-out a trial
I place your tiny hand in mine and close my eyes tight
I pray to the Lord that he will help me raise you right.
I lean down and kiss your soft little cheek
I cover you up with your favorite blanket, so soft and pink
I whisper "good night my love" and close the door
wishing I could keep you forever at four.
But I know I can not stop the hands of time
But If I could, I would give up my very last dime
These moments with you, my child, are precious and few,
I wouldn't trade or give away one second with you
