Possible diagnoses for an overheating engine

Every one knows that if your not into buying a new vehicle maybe its because of your budget or you aren't ready for a new vehicle just yet. What ever the case is, you always would love to bargain so you shop around. Buying Car Books, internet, newspaper, etc. Finally, the day you decide on the vehicle, everything seems, perfect. You bargain and got the car for a great price, your tags are up to date, you test drove it its good. 2-3 months later your driving to work and you notice a burning, smoky scent. Oh jesus your car is over heating! You pull over to a safe spot or your place(if your lucky to make it home). Now your wondering, " why is my car over heating?!" There are a numerous reasons why your baby is heating up hotter than a summer's day. Here are a few quick ways to save money!

1. Maybe one of your hose have a leak around the engine's area
2. You might need another thermostat
3. You may need to replace your radiator
4. There isn't enough coolant in your tank. (green, blue, liquid stuff)
5. If you still can't figure out its over heating problem, you may need to spend a whole lot more to get a mechanic to look at your car and quote you with a fat bill.
