She put his shirt on like a night shirt
And curled up on the couch
She could still smell his favorite cologne
In the collar
Light from the fireplace
Danced about the room
A tear fell from her eye
As she remembered

Strangers think she is being fashionable
or lazy
Throbbing sounds of silence,
numbness ringing in ear,
the Universe' melodious hum eliminated.
Timeless , tiring time tugging
On the widow's walk
you'll see a light.
On the widow's walk

For with flowing hair
she walks up there

I wake up alone in the morning,
I see sadness in the mirror,
I drink my coffee alone,
I plan my day, but to what
Her heart cries and her soul bleeds
As she sits alone in her widow’s weeds
