Poetry: Identity

ANTICIPATION OF APPREHENSION

I can't wait I want it now
But I'm not sure of exactly how
The juices flow threatening to spill
I cringe away as I embrace the thrill
The lights too bright without it's too dark
I can't feel what is in my heart
I can't see what's in my soul
Is it all but a gaping hole?
I want it bad yet I fear its spell
If there's no Heaven is there a Hell?
If when you die you continue on
Then what is evil if nothing is gone?
If you can't destroy but only redirect
Then there is only life and there's no death
