Comprehending the charter school movement in America

I first saw a teacher with no classroom
No desk, no books and no reward to speak of.
However; loyal and diligently striving to groom
mere children into heroes of hope and love.

I then saw a man with no past.
There was nothing that escaped to the surface.
Soon the depth of your soul could be seen at last,
but you were so mysterious i remained on the case.

Then I saw a friend with no strings attached.
Just a loyal hand and kind smile.
For everyone and anyone whether or not they asked
You were there in glory and, of course, style.

Then I saw a strong hand to hold in mine.
Holding the scars of work and worry from your life.
Then I saw a shoulder to cry on and eyes so loving and kind.
The man I would fight for no matter the strife.

So here I am now by your side
Holding you hand while facing tragedies and earning rewards
facing fears and wiping the tears that we've cried
For the rest of my life I will make mistakes and actions and words.

But, for the rest of my life it is you I want in my prayers.
In my hopes and dreams. In my plans and in my home.
If I may have the chance to be loyal and true
Please let it be you.
