The best president or prime minister in the world

Alexander Lukashenko is the greatest living President in the world today. The President of Belarus, who won a landslide victory in 2006 to earn his third term in office, Lukashenko has proven to be a truly inspirational leader in the areas of democratic reform and national security, both in his own country and internationally.

Because the constitution of his plucky little Ex-Soviet republic included an article which limited its Presidents to two terms in office, the highly popular Lukashenko ingeniously circumvented this out-dated statute and pleaded his case directly to the public, and the public responded by overwhelmingly voting to abolish the term-limits law via public referendum in 2004.

An earlier example of Lukashenko's strength as a democratic leader took place in 1996, when an obstructionist parliament, against the wishes of the majority of the people, began threatening to impeach him. Lukashenko, ever the democrat, felt he needed to uphold the will of the people, and proceeded to disband the parliament. New elections were held soon thereafter, and only those who supported the democratic will of the majority of the people were allowed to stand for office. (Today, an observer of the Belarusian parliament will find that, under the leadership of Lukashenko, there is none of the childish acrimony that goes on in congressional and parliamentary chambers throughout the world.)

Under Lukashenkos leadership, unruly activists, who insist on threatening the nation's national security by fomenting public dissension, are dealt with swiftly and decisively. Lukashenko has rightly termed people who publicly disagree with his policies as "terrorists," and he has them arrested, tried in a court of law, and ultimately imprisoned.

Even private dissent is monitored. Two former cabinet members, Deputy Prime Minister Viktar Hanchar and Minister of Internal Affairs Yuryy Zakharanka, publicly disagreed with Lukashenko, deeply embarrassing the President and undermining his authority as commander in chief. Afterwards, Lukashenko privately met with them accepted their resignations with alacrity. And nobody has seen hide nor hair of either of them since. Literally.

All patriotic Americans must respect a man like Alexander Lukashenko. He's the President that Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Karl Rove thought George W. Bush could have been.
