I have lived in three countries around the world and of course have been on holiday all over the place. Like with everything else, fast and cheap is the instant answer to our modern day problems. But I found that in different countries the same brand coffee was different. In South Africa nescafe instant coffee is a very light brown colour and tastes sweet whereas in the United Kingdom the same is a dark rich colour and a stronger more bitter flavour. In Italy the same is even darker and very bitter compared to the UK. The US coffee is also lighter. When I asked the question i was told that It depends on the amount of sugar they add into the instant coffee. The lighter the colour of the coffee more sugar content.
Humm it makes you wonder what else one should know....
