Poetry: Angels

DO ANGELS WALK THE EARTH?
Looking at her gentle face it's hard to believe it's her final stage. She hasn't gone anyplace and lived her life on a ten cent wage. Yet she thinks she has everything with out the fancy diamond rings. She loves her family thats for sure and her home has always been open door. Simple little fantasy of falling stars and autumn leaves keep her going everyday and if you ask her why she'll say I was put here for a reason and that reason is believing that when we leave this earth we live on material things will all be gone, but the times that we share and the stories that we hear are ours for the taking so it's memories I'm making and it doesn't cost a thing like those pretty diamond rings. She has always found a way to put a smile on our face even on the hardest day anger doesn't have a place. Even when she's been wronged nobody's ever not belonged. Bitterness we've never seen she doesn't know what it means and is you ask her why she'll say I was put here for a reason and that reason is believing that love is something you must give if you ever expect to live. Forgetting isn't easy but forgiveness is pleasing. So do I believe in angels walking on this earth? Yes! for what it's worth, and if you ask me why I'll say cause she was put here for a reason and that reason is believing that there are lessons we need to hear from someone we hold very dear, because someday it will be our turn to teach the things that we learn and have simple little fantasy's of falling stars and autumn leaves.
