Poetry: Looking in the mirror

by Kari

When i look at the mirror, i see a beautiful face
Watching on from the silent inside world
lonely and longing to be heard
long from being just a pretty face and dearer
from being just a reflection in the mirror

When i look at the mirror, i see part of me
One part of me trapped in the past, the other living the future
The past me calling to be rescued, the other living it
Wishing all the pasts to be undone and the future to be bright
As i wish the pasts to be clearer
The past looking at me behing the glass mirror

The mirror is a reflection of all my broken shattered past
of all the things i tgold and lies that just can't last
like a guilty person, silence is just a language
Spoken by people who are long dead in mind and spirit
as answeres show up to me clearer and clearer
all that remains is the hidden broken mirror
