In the beginning, God said, "Let there be Coca-Cola," and there was Coke. And God saw that the drink was good.
That was until he tried it with cherry...
Then it was splendiferous!
Ok ok...that was blasphemous, and I'll most likely go to hell for that, but that's a risk I'm willing to take to make my point that Cherry Coke is awesome!
I'm writing this not to tell people who have already tried Cherry Coke about how great it is (they already know), but to help the man in need, the person who hasn't tried this wonderful beverage, and therefore hasn't been living a fulfilled life. I have to come to help. Yes, I am a hero.
I don't want to spoil the experience of what it is like to try this drink after a sweltering day of hard work, but whoever coined the phrase, "it's a party in my mouth" must have been talking about Cherry Coca Cola! Really, as soon as the cold carbonation hits your taste buds, things are better, colors are more vibrant, and love seems everywhere. NO NO NO! I'm not exaggerating!
I remember the first time I tried Cherry Coke. I was a wee young tot no more than the age of 5. My parents made sure that I never drank this soda, because they weren't sure if I could appreciate its greatness. So one day I'm playing outside with my best of friends Jacob, and he says...."Hey, I have something really cool to show you." He then ran inside his house and a couple minutes later came out cradling something in his arms wrapped in a towel.
At first, I thought he was holding a small baby, he was holding the thing so carefully as not to drop it. When Jacob approached me, he slowly parted the cloth towel to reveal the deep crimson color of a Cherry Coke bottle label.
I couldn't believe it! He had a Cherry Coke bottle! I almost peed myself right there I was so excited! Jacob and I then sat under the tree in his yard and twisted the metal cap off. Jacob said, "You first," as he raised the bottle to my face. I grabbed it and placed my lips on the cool, smooth glass at the opening of the bottle.
Slowly I tilted the bottle up and as the cold, sweet carbonated liquid shocked my tongue, I knew I never wanted to drink anything else for the rest of my life. Jacob and I spent the next hour sipping the Cherry Coke and savoring it, and that was all that seemed to matter in life. That was one of my greatest childhood memories.
I love Cherry Coke!

I remember the days when the only choice to be made when you fancied a can of Cola was whether you preferred Pepsi or Coke.
No, I do not. Does that put me in the minority?
