The story behind wearing cosmetics

As much as I hate to admit it. I too look better with make up on. But, I go to work with just a little mascara, my eyebrows done and concealer for my dark circles under my eyes. No lipstick, no foundation, no blush. My hair pulled back, my glasses on. I'm a cashier, so I have to deal with the public.

I like my makeup to look natural. But that takes me so much time that I could be doing other things. Like, getting my eight year old to school.Waking his older eighteen year brother up to go to work. Making coffee for my hubby who's already complaining that I'm taking to long to "put my face on" . Hurry, Hurry, Hurry!

In all the confusion I might accidentally pull out my blue eyeshadow, smear it on and go the rest of the day looking like Mimi from the Drew Carry show. People will laugh behind my back. I'll hear them snicker and not know why. Until I have to go to bathroom. Then, when I look in the mirror.. My initial horror would be replaced by me washing my whole entire face. Drying it with a paper towel. Going the rest of my shift with my dark circles showing, no eyebrows to speak of..etc.

So better to go slow, take the five minutes, look at least somewhat presentable.
Put on the whole face when I have the time and someplace to go. Make up is a good thing. When used wisely.
