The best cup of coffee made by filter method is a simple recipe of good coffee, salt and fresh water. Good coffee can be Tim Hortons as our regular blend, or any favorite of yours.

To a clean filter, add one heaping coffee scoop of coffee to the filter for each two cups of coffee in your coffee maker. If you are making 6 cups of coffee for example, you would use a minimum of 3 heaping spoons of coffee, (and we like ours strong so I would typically add one spoon for the pot to any I brew), and a good healthy shake of salt to keep down any bitter taste.

Run the water for just a second before filling your coffee pot. Try not to use the water that has been sitting for a while inside your pipes.

Serve your coffee immediately after it has finished brewing.

Clean your coffee maker after every 40 pots or so, regardless of how much was in each pot.

Lastly, but not least, coffee should never be 'nuked', 'reheated in the morning', or served after it has sat for longer than 15 minutes. Anything else could turn a person off coffee entirely. Follow these simple guidelines for a great cup every time.
