Looking for a warm, cozy vacation spot with excitement, water, golden sands and an amazing board walk? Take a moment to bask in the Virginia Beach sun!
Getting there is half the fun. You will encounter a series of bridges and tunnels when you approach, and the sight of the crisp blue ocean perfectly in touch with the bright azure sky is simply delightful! You'll get into the mood already, breathing in the sweet scent of the lush, oceanic paradise. There are many shops along the way to accommodate a couple or a family!
Arriving at the beach is personally, my favorite feeling.
Many hotels line the long strip of golden sands, each beckoning your arrival. Multi-colored towels hang from balconies, and streets are teeming with happy children and boogie-boards! Whatever hotel you choose to stay in, it is always easy to find the beach. There are beautiful art sculptures at every beach entrance, and a Dairy Queen shop too! Getting a hotel/motel at under $100 is possible, and I promise you, they are either beach side, or a few blocks away.
The pier is also a very fun spot! There's fishing and rides all for you there, and at night, those colored lights are dazzling. There is always live music and bands performing at the stages located around the boardwalks, and dancing too! Relax, have fun, and meet new people.
Have a bite to eat at Mahi-Mah's sushi saloon. It's amazingly delicious, and the prices are worth it. And believe it or not, they do not only serve sushi. There is also a bar included, and the atmosphere is lively and nostalgic.
If you happen to end up in Virginia beach, take one morning and wake up extra early. Walk down to the beach to catch the first glimpse of sunrise. First you see the carefully lit clouds, a calming light yellow. As the wispy clouds begin to shift, then you'll see it. The first hint of sunrise. The yellow sun slowly peaks up, beyond all the oceans, making the shore smile. Catch a glimpse of dolphins in July, swimming gracefully in the distance. Now the sun is mid-way, making the ocean dazzle, turning the clouds a yellow pink.
Sometimes you lose yourself in this naturally occurring beauty, and you just don't want it to end.
Virginia beach is truly an amazing place, for anyone.
Hope to see you there!
