First and foremost, the most important is to give your children a lot of love, attention and affection.
Try to have more time with your children. Take interest in what they do. Join them in discussing their hobbies, interests and plans. Be a good listener, allow them to sometimes make their own judgment and solutions.
Provide your children chances for new experiences, especially when they show their interests or talents. Praise them for specific acts. It's better to say "You're very responsible today, you didn't forget any of your school thing" instead of just saying "You're great." Praise your children for their effort. Commending them for their courage, for trying hard and showing pride will take their disappointment out of the way.
Finally, show good example. If children hear you complaining about your weight, they may follow. It's better to hear "I feel good after exercising, I think I will walk after eating" than "I hate my body! I'm so fat."
