The wonderful cold coffee is versatile and refreshing. It is perfect for summer entertaining. My very first cup of coffee, that I can remember was rich, slightly bitter and oh so good.
My favorites are Community (found mostly in Louisiana). This brand was so popular with my family when my mom moved to Georgia some twenty years ago; I had to mail her the robust coffee. Others are Folgers dark roast or Maxwell House Bold.
The steps I follow as I consume more than three pots per day. (I am glad this is not a heath related article). I include all of the trimmings, creamers and sugars. The following is the steps:
1- In a clean drip coffee maker, I pour six cups of cold water.
2- In the filter, I add three and half, tablespoons of coffee grounds.
3- Turn the pot on.
Now that the coffee is ready, the options for flavors are endless. The aroma is alone, prepares you for the intense gratification of caffeine needs having been meet. The delicious recopies that I have included is sure to delight someone.
For iced coffee, I simply take the fresh brewed coffee, pour it into a pitcher. Add cup of sugar, mix well. Then add two cups of your favorite liquid coffee creamer, stir well. Fill with ice. To serve, top with a dollop of cool whip, sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg or even brown sugar on top.
