Early morning tips for stress-reduction

you put on your glasses in the morning, take the important item straight out to the car first thing or put it in a place where it won't be missed as you go out the door.

There are going to be mornings when you don't have time to fix a complete breakfast. The alarm clock didn't go off or someone woke up sick or some other unpredictable occurrence happens occasionally. Sometimes mornings can become so hectic that even sitting down to eat cereal takes too much time. Grabbing fast food on the way isn't a good option as it takes time, money, and the food isn't healthy. Always have on hand items that can be eaten on the way to work or school. Granola bars, bagels, and fruits are good options to keep in your pantry at all times.

If you follow these ideas and make them become a habit, your morning routine will be much more relaxed and enjoyable. Those tiny annoyances can add up to a lot of stress and bad memories over time. But they can be easily avoided with a little practice and the end of some bad habits.

Unfortunately, not all of us are morning people. I know that i certainly have never enjoyed mornings.
It seems that one of the most hectic times of the day for most people, even morning people, is the morning. So much time is wasted spent looking for car keys, homework, and missing socks. Here are some suggestions to make morning transitions go much more smoothly.

Before you even get out of bed, allow yourself to become fully awake. This is worth setting the alarm for a few minutes earlier. Slowly stretch like a cat does when they first awake. Stretch first one arm over your head, then the next. Stretch one leg, point your toes, then switch legs. Turn your head from side to side.

Next, try saying a morning prayer. Make it as short or as long as you feel. If something is troubling you, get it off of your mind now by praying about it. If you don't believe in prayer, say some simple affirmations that concentrate on whatever area of your life that is causing problems or stress.

It helps to have your alarm clock wake you with soothing music or natural sounds. Skip the blaring alarm or loud morning deejay. There are alarm clocks that now wake you with natural light and aromatherapy. If you aren't a heavy sleeper, these are worth a try. Keep the soft music playing throughout the morning to promote a calm atmosphere. Classical music is a perfect choice.

If you search for your keys or some other object every morning, put them in the same place everyday until it becomes a habit.
