How to choose a name for your band. You should never just sit around and think about what you want to be called. It will take a longer time that way. And the name kinda has to go with the type of music that you are playing. But whenever you get an idea write that name down and show it to the rest of the band mates to see what they think of and then they will prolly give you some of theirs. I spent one full practice with my band picking a name. I wanted Domestic Violence and the vocalist wanted Those Damn Jellyfish. So what we did since we were the only ones with ideas was brainstorm and we just matched them together. We ended up using Domestic Jellyfish. And the name also has a lot of truth behind it. I have charges for Domestic A&B and the vocalist is afraid of Jellyfish. We also play a mix of Punk-Rock, Metal, and have some Pop-Rock(influences would be Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty ect.). So in all it matches with what we play somehow. But really making the band name is fun. It is something that you will be called by. So make sure that you like it. Good luck to all of you.
