Good teenage summer jobs

There are a variety of summer jobs for teenagers. It just depends on how responsible you are and how much time you have to spend at a job. The best type of summer job could be something you may want to do in the future.

Here are just a few jobs for a start. Delivery newspapers, working in a grocery store, library, life guard at the pool, babysitting and delivering flyers. If you prefer to work outdoors, you could cut grass, paint piers or houses and walk dogs. These kind of jobs have been around since I was a teenager so you know there are plenty of them.

There are many companies looking for help setting up equipment or selling products. Your best bet is to try and figure out what you want to do after high school or college and find something along that path because it will help you in your career later. For example, if you want to be a mechanic than try getting a job at a gas station or a small mechanic shop. If you want to be a hairdresser you could either start beauty school or become a shampoo girl. If you have a passion for pets, I would suggest a job at a pet shop or shelter. The possibilities are endless. You just have to look and have an idea on what it is you want and how much money you want to make.

If you don't know or don't want to think about the future just yet, than do something you really enjoy. Amusement parks are always hiring and they have great benefits too. Free admission to the park and free tickets for your family is a great incentive not to mention working at a place you enjoy. If you love kids, how about a job in a daycare? Bowling alleys are always looking for pin chasers. If you like to workout than get a job at the gym.

For those young entrepreneurs, how about starting your own business. Some suggestions: Typing service, car washing, pet sitting, cleaning houses, window cleaning or fixing bikes. You can make money and learn about business at the same time. You can invest as much time as you want and make as much money as you want. Be your own boss and do what you like to do.

There are also ways to make money on line. How about writing on Helium or doing surveys. If you can't find anything just try Yahoo Hot jobs or Indeed.com. These sites are always showing jobs for teenagers in the summer. Sometimes I think there are more jobs out there for teenagers than adults in the summer. Keep looking and you will find something. Good luck.
