Who are easier to get along with: Fathers-in-law or mothers-in-law?

It really depends on the people. I know I get along with my father-in-law MUCH better than I do with my mother-in-law. He doesn't see me as stealing his son. He sees me as joining the family. I guess my situation is different than most because my husband's parents have been divorced for a long time and no longer even speak to each other. His mother keeps the kids from him and then insists on child support that he can't afford and would leave him and his new wife and baby homeless. Also, my husband is his mother's first child. He's always been her most loyal child and has been forced to act as a father to his three siblings and almost like a husband to his mother (without all of the intimacy of a marriage). Now that he is out of her home and in another state, she feels like she has no one and takes it out on me, the one that stole her baby. What she doesn't understand is that the reason we moved is because she was always down on me, causing stress that could have caused a miscarriage. So I suppose you could say that, for me, fathers-in-law are easier to get along with.
