Poetry: Storms

The harsh clash of thunder ringing in my ears...
followed quickly by a blinding flash of light.

The rain pelts the ground digging small holes in the earth with every splash.
This is just how I feel inside.

The storm sounds so painful...
The moaning of the trees swaying with the wind.

The flowers are wilting and falling from the pounding rain.
The wet leaves are sticking to the house, to the cars...

Everything is so unorganized, so wild and tangled;
This storm is mirroring my emotions.

The screaming storm slashes the sky,
Drenching everything in its path.

I do not want it to stop.
I want something else to feel the pain I feel.

It seems more normal, now.
