I am so glad we have this opportunity to correct proper language use. Americans have always stooped low when it comes to the use of this word. In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries Americans took this word, "gay" and used it to describe a drunk who portrayed a jolliness while drinking. Well, here is the Webster's exact words. "Inflamed or merry with liquor; intoxicated; a vulgar use of the word in America." Then, when Americans needed a word for another vulgar activity they decided to use the word gay again.

But our focus is on the real and proper usage of this wonderful word. And to determine if you are gay, is simply done by looking at what the word means and compare it to the way you spend most of your time. Because a "gay" person is not someone who is happy once in a while. A gay person is one of those terrific people who always brings a smile and good cheer into any setting. In England you would get an immediate definition of "Jovial" which is one of my favorite words. These folks always have a jolly spring in their step, and their speech is full of vigor towards the subject at hand. They usually mingle a joke in with even the most serious topics, and are able to do so without offending.

In our America these people are few and far between. But when you do find one, everyone identifies them by there gayness. For an odd unknown reason, most of them are overweight. Perhaps, it is a conscientious thing, unnecessary of course, because being overweight is nothing to be ashamed of. At any rate, you know the type. Always laughing, chuckling and able to ignore even the most rude of people. If you find you are like this, then by all means, tell the world how gay you are! Shut the closet door on the embarrassing usage of this word, and help bring it back to its proper content and context. It is okay to be gaysome! God loves the gayest people, it is one of the fruits of the spirit. Well, I guess I need to qualify that with an affirmation that God hates homosexuality as much as He loves people who find the gaiety in all things.

Alright already, I'll digress into the lie for a moment. Nobody is born a homosexual, that's like saying you were born a thief. You are not ever a homosexual, unless you choose to be. So if by chance this is the question you are looking to be answered, just know for a fact, everyone is created NORMAL, but man decides to sin any number of sins, usually to make up for an inadequacy somewhere else. And usually this inadequacy is not even real, it is just something they have not lived up to in their own mind. Thus the conscious tells them, they are something they are not. Just because someone is born with a feminine voice and the child grows up getting teased all the time, is no reason to give up and be what others call you. You are a normal human being with a different sounding voice. If you choose the dangerous and totally un-natural life of homosexuality then your no different then someone who chooses to be a thief or habitual liar. You are just choosing the way you think is easiest, even though it is the most difficult. I am done digressing.

Back to being gay! If in doubt, just ask a friend or your pastor if they think you are living up to the "gayest" God would have for you. Of course the opposite of the gay mood is sad. This is a normal emotion, but when it clouds and fills our day, we need to find a person who has the gayest attributes to lift us up! So go on, be gay today!
