To a coffee drinker, nothing that beats that fresh made coffee smell, especially if you like flavored coffee. From the enticing aroma to the wonderful aroma, fresh coffee out beats stale, sitting in the pot for a while, coffee any time.
To make that delectable brew, first read any instructions that come with your machine, unless your already familiar with it.
Use fresh water, not dirty or cloudy. Some prefer bottled, purified water. Most of us just use water from the tap. Cold tempature is recommended, but it all heats up to steaming in the end.
Add coffee grounds, about a full tsp. A cup. I like strong coffee, so a heaping teaspoon does it for me. Weaker coffee drinkers (take that phrase anyway you want) will use level, just full tsp per cup.
Pour the coffee carefully into the filter, being sure not to spill grounds between the side of the filter and the pot; this will lead to coffee grounds in the coffee, which looks bad and can taste worse.
Pour the water in, trying not to spill it everywhere. It is just water, and most coffee pot are designed for normal use. Water is only a concern if you pour too fast and splash the electric plug or outlet.
Plug the machine in and turn it on. Before you leave, make sure the machine is ready to go. It is easy to leave the little door up where you poured the water, or forget to put the filter in place.
Soon, the machine will make those little heating water sounds, a few drips, and there is that smell coffee drinkers love.
