Who is really cruel to chickens? PETA! PETA and the other anti-human, anti-domestic animal hate groups that call themselves the animal rights movement have as their ultimate goal the elimination of meat eating and animal agriculture.

Eliminating meat eating will kill people across the globe, as most meat animals worldwide are raised in pastureland which cannot be converted to cropland. But PETA doesn't care about dead humans. What about the chickens?

A KFC chicken has at least enjoyed a short period of life. Cage-raised poultry may not have been able to enjoy the great outdoors, but on the other hand at least have been protected from predators and bad weather- leading causes of death among my free-range chickens. While free-range may provide healthier meat for us, the chickens themselves may prefer the cage life just as we humans often prefer to stay in our homes rather than roughing it outdoors.

Under PETA's plan, those KFC chickens would never have lived at all. Their mothers and fathers, rather than enjoying a life as breeding chickens, would also never have lived. In fact, very few chickens would be alive at all. Besides the fact that chicken-keeping wouldn't be profitable, the global famine under PETA's plan would make keeping chickens as pets or zoo animals impossible.

Having kept chickens for many years, I know they are nice animals. And since I care about the well-being of chickens, I patronized KFC- and boycott PETA. If you care about animals, consider doing the same.
