scandal is a prime example of white-collar theft. The need to want more money in a short amount of time leads to theft and corruption at a corporate level. They want to make more money, thus they're going to get greedy.
It's the same thing with credit card theft. All illegal purchases are covered by most credit and debit card policies. Thieves are taking advantage of that. That's another surefire way to make money in the shortest amount of time.
One reason people steal especially in this country is pretty much overlooked. When people are convicted as a felons and are released from jail, they can barely get a job. Because many businesses have policies on hot hiring convicted felons. And convicted felons do not have any rights meaning they can get descriminated against at any time. Even if they have their rights restored, they're still convicted felons.
There are plenty of prisons that teach classes that enable prisoners to get a degree but with these policies, the purpose is pretty much defeated. In most cases, these former prisoners have just about no choice but to steal.
The primary reason for theft is pretty universal, they want to get money and items the quick way. The reasons behind the quick money are all different. The only cases are excluded are the cleptos and the people that get an adrenaline rush out of stealing. Everybody else, it's the desire to get cash in the shortest amount of time. If they don't steal money, they can get money off the items they steal.
Keep in mind there is theft at various levels.
