Cruise ships: Activities for seniors

Seniors with their strong bank accounts and loads of free time are prime customers for cruise lines. It's no wonder that these ships have activities that cater to this growing population segment. Many of these seniors are not impaired. Most of the activities of the ship can be available to them.

Some activities are geared more toward the seniors' interests. There are plenty of chairs available for lounging and talking with friends while watching the natural beauty of the ocean. They may choose to go topside and walk along the wide easily accessible track that makes a circuit about the ship.

Games like Bingo and shuffleboard are there to be enjoyed. A dip in the pool or sitting in a warm hot tub can be on the agenda. People watching is always a favorite. This goes like this: "Did you see that?" "I've never seen anything like it before."

Gambling and sipping on cold drinks are popular among the senior set. Some prefer the beauty shop or massage offerings on the ship. Shopping is also a big deal. An gym with exercise equipment is always available. You can take advantage of golf and dance lessons at times. Aerobics are frequently offered.
