Wow! How would I ever pick my favorite Beatles song? After seeing this section of articles, I sat down and pondered this very question. I've been a Beatles fan since I can remember, a family friend introduced me to them at a very early age and although I may have strayed away at a time to focus on the "bands of the time" I eventually found my way back to my amazing roots. The Beatles took the world by storm and, in my opinion, influenced an entire era. I honestly enjoy their songs that make me think... Songs like Eleanor Rigby and Nowhere Man. I like to listen to these songs when I'm a little down. Eleanor Rigby makes me realize that I'm not the only person in the world that feels lonely and it makes me take a look at it and decide that I don't want my loneliness to rule my like. Some people just sit around their whole lives waiting for something to happen and just end up dying alone. I don't want to be like that and so when I listen to Eleanor Rigby it makes me get up off my butt and stop being so down and feeling sorry for myself. Sometimes, however, I feel like my opinion doesn't matter...like I'm a nowhere man. This was more prevalent in my high school days, when I felt like teachers were out there to tell you that you were wrong and they were right..no matter what. They used to make me feel like I "didn't have a point of view", however, I came to realize (through musical influence and life experience) that I do have a point of view...I'm not nothing. All I have to do is speak up and I will be heard. I owe a lot of this to my favorite Bealtes songs! To find yours just listen and look in your heart and see which ones influence and teach you....strike your attention.
